"We just wanted to thank you very much for being so kind and fun when we were stuck on Alderney. Each one of you went out of your way to have a chat / commiseration with us. It was much appreciated. I am also in awe of Marie's calm, organised cheerfulness."

"Best crab sandwiches I've tasted in years!"

"We arrived on Bumblbee and were met enthusiastically by Richard (the manager). We were shown to our beautiful rooms, with a nice view of the beach. The room was spotless and had everything that you could want and a decanter of sherry which was a lovely touch. The towelling robesnand 'proper sized' hair dryer make all the difference from a nice hotel and the perfect hotel. Richard suggested hiring electric bikes on Sunday as we had walked all day Saturday, he even rang up and booked them for us........ nothing was too much trouble. All these little things that the staff did made it the perfect weekend for me, and I shall remember it for a long time. We shall definitely be back."

"Richard, what a magnificent effort by you and all the team for our wedding. It was simply amazing. Even if we wanted to pick a fault.....we could not. It was perfect. Your dedication and management is evident. Well done and thank you."

"Everything is meticulously overseen by the most welcoming flamboyant General Manager Richard who works tirelessly and charmingly to ensure you enjoy every minute of your stay. Richard makes you feel like you own the place from the minute you arrive and I am sure that even if you asked him to provide you with a pet elephant for your stay, he would somehow manage it with the greatest of pleasure. Do try it!!!"

I spent 4 days at the Braye Beach Hotel last weekend and absolutely loved it. Wonderful views out over the beach, and if you have a room facing the beach you can open your window or mini balcony and wake up to the sound of the waves rolling in.

Being in Alderney is like stepping back in time. It's very safe, which is something not to be taken for granted these days, and the community really pulls together to help each other as we did in the past.

I wanted to say a big thank you to Richard and his team, especially the chef who absolutely never failed to cook up something delicious. There is no pool or fitness centre but the brave lunatics can swim in the sea, and for exercise there is walking, jogging, cycling and a whole host of exercise classes held locally that one can attend. We'll be back!
